Key Stage 3

The Science course at Key Stage 3 provides students with the necessary skills and knowledge to access the GCSE course in Key Stage 4.

In Year 7 students build on the science in the key stage 2 curriculum, developing their knowledge and practical skills.

In Year 8, the spiral curriculum adds detail and depth to the work studied in Year 7 alongside further practical skills, and builds strong foundations of knowledge, skills, and application, to prepare students for starting to study GCSE Science in Year 9.
