Key Stage 5

Students develop knowledge and understanding about society and how sociologists study. Our The course will help students understand society’s structures, processes and issues. Sociology is exciting, interesting and relevant to students’ lives. Students will also develop skills valued by higher education (HE) and employers, including critical analysis, independent thinking and research.

AQA Sociology A Level (7191/2)

We teach the AQA specification which is made up of three areas of Sociology.

Paper 1 – Education and Methods in Context (33%)
Paper 2 – Topics in Sociology Family and Households and Beliefs (33%)
Paper 3 – Crime and Deviance with Research Methods (33%)

AQA Sociology A Level is assessed in the following way:
Controlled Assessment (0%) Examination (100%)
